The Industrial Design Association of the FAD (Promotion of Arts and Design), ADI-FAD, has awarded our ASHI collection the Delta Selection 2020 product certification seal. This seal qualifies us for the second phase and, therefore, for the first prize in the "Interior Equipment" category, which will be revealed in November 2020 during Barcelona Design Week and coinciding with its 40th edition.
With this award, ADI-FAD promotes the recognition of excellence in industrial design of an ethically responsible product, which proposes "a conceptual renovation and is an example of design and manufacturing quality".
Specialising in product design, the Association organises the ADI Awards every year, which include the Delta Awards for professionals and industrial design companies. The jury for this edition is made up of national and international experts "from different fields of industrial design, communication, teaching and design theory", according to ADI-FAD.
ASHI, sobriety and great visual lightness
The collection includes a hydroplanter, available in white, bordeaux, lead or taupe, an upholstered pouf and a solid natural ash wood table. All the elements stand out for their natural wooden legs inspired in Japanese temples.
Indeed, Japan was the source of inspiration for this very special piece. Specifically, its ancient and majestic temples raised from the ground by means of wooden pillars. In Japanese, "ashi" means "leg" and this collection also uses wooden legs in each element, giving it sobriety and great visual lightness.
A collection of three pieces harmonized under a friendly and informal design and designed by the prestigious studio Emiliana Design.
Wish us luck!
